Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Actually, your feet are coming back down, so for god's sake, get ready
Still riding the waves summoned by "Viva La Vida," the boys make like their heroes, Radiohead, and release a new product made from songs recorded during the sessions for their last album that weren't used on that album. A few of these eight tracks are as attractive as those on "Viva La Vida," but they lack the faux-bold production that made "Viva La Vida" seem so good. Now that the original with-lyrics version of "Life in Technicolor" has presented itself, it's even more clear that it's Martin's ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - nothing is good as parachutes, but this could be ok..
nothing is really great as parachutes and arobtth...i hope coldplay will do other songs like all the songs written and played during the parachutes and arobtth period...they were coldplay....i love them...i still love them and their songs...but no song of x&y or viva la vida will ever be like parachutes or arobtth...
all parachutes is perfect in my opinion, a rush of blood to the head is superb. they lost they essence but we have to consider that they couldn't do always the same songs...i ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Extraordinary "bonus" from Coldplay.
I have to admit, I didn't know these new songs were coming after the release of Vida la Vida. Oddly, if this particular release were all that ever came out I would have been happy. So...bonus!

I don't think it's a stretch to argue that Prospect's March is the best song on both recordings.

"Don't you wish your life could be as simple
As fish swimming around in a barrel
Where you've got the gun"

Simply perfect. The imagery portrayed in this song is haunting. ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice addition!
Great addition to the Viva La Vida. Some of the songs sound more like the old Coldplay tunes. The Jay-Z cut of "Lost" is great too - I like that any artist can mix with the ever changing beats of Coldplay songs.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Coldplay's delivers another masterpiece!
What a treat to recieve yet another cd from Coldplay. I love Viva La Vida, but to know that "Life in Technicolor" has words was a pleasant surprise. What a beautiful song. I highly recommend it to all Coldplay fans. They are in a league all their own. Their musicality and lyrics rival even U2 (which I love as well). The only song on the cd you will either love or hate is "lost" featuring Jay-z. I understand Coldplay wanting to take a risk and broaden their horizons to incorporate some hip-hop. The song ...
