For the life of me, I cannot understand the negative reviews given to this movie. The animation was just beautiful. Seeing what they were able to do with the ocean alone is incredible. It leaves me happy at the end every time I watch it. The music picked to go with the scenes fits perfectly. I DO NOT like most cartoons or animated anything, so this movie is a rarity for me. WHen I first saw this movie on dvd, I knew I had to have it...although it is a cartoon, it still had enough humor that was still mature enough so I wasn't bored..chicken Joe is AWESOME! The graphics are nice, and it has a nice story line, I knew I would add it to my collection of UMD's!

Wow. This is just too much fun. When you've watched it, head over to the "How They Made It" special feature and check out how they managed to use a steady-cam on animation! Definitely want this one for Christmas. Jeff Bridges is hilarious.

Approximately 1 hr 20 minutes, this DVD is a nice story, has great color, super clear pix, great animation, and nice music. This is a story about determination, motivation, the importance of friendship, standing up against the odds and going all-out after your dream. It's a great story for kids. I occasionally like to nourish my own inner child and also to see what movies are teaching our children (even though my child is 35.)
