Rating: - Great, Pocket-Portable Protective Little Bag
I bought this at the same time I bought my new Canon SD870 IS. I was especially interested in the screen protecting hard EVA plastic backbone, as my previous pocket camera had bitten the dust when I was walking with it in my front pocket and my leg bumped into a chair, resulting in a shattered screen.
I have yet to bump into anything with this camera, but if I do I'm sure my camera will be fine. The case is strong, yet still small enough to easily slip in and out of my pocket when needed. ... Read More
Rating: - snug as a bug in a rug
The reason I was searching for a good camera case is because the magnet on my old one caused the battery to die. I wanted something cute, fashionable, easy, and fun. This is all of that and more! I don't have to worry one bit about dropping my camera while it is in this case. The hard plastic back gives me that security. I do, however, have to agree with another user of this case... It is very difficult to get your camera in and out quickly because it is as snug as a bug in a rug in that camera case. ... Read More
Rating: - Will not fit Canon A590is
Though this is offered as a recommended accessory on the page containing the canon a590is. The case is way too small.
Rating: - Looks nice but....too small for cameras!
...I thought this was a cute camera bag, so I purchased it when I got my Canon PowerShot A590IS. Well!! I can barely get my iPod in there, which is about 1/3 of an inch thick. My camera is better that 1.5 inches at the thickest point. With the hard plastic 'backbone', there's just not enough give. I had to get something quite a bit bigger. Indeed, that I had to return this one contributed to the low rating.
Rating: - Excellent protection for camera
The solid backing and soft interior provide the protection I want for my camera and screen. Good size for my Canon Powershot SD870. Hoodie part is nice for extra storage. As someone mentioned it takes a few seconds to get your camera out, but any case is going to delay reaction time.
